Last weekend the results of the World Beer Awards were announced. This is one of the most prestigious beer competitions worldwide.
This year we did not win a gold medal, but though 2 beers of Bockor Brewery won a silver medal.
OMER. Traditional Blond
After gold medals in 2009 on the European Beer Star, in 2010 on the World Beer Cup en in 2011 on the US Open Beer Championships, OMER. Traditional Blond now won the silver medal in the category "Belgian Style Strong Pale".
This is another recognition that the beer OMER. Traditional Blond is a high quality beer.
This blond beer of high fermentation with refermentation in the bottle became a major brand in Belgium in a few years. The quality an authenticity of the beer are the most important in our strategy.
VanderGhinste Oud Bruin
This Flanders Red Ale is the first beer that has been brewed by Bockor Brewery in 1892. Last year the label was redesigned for which we used an old publicity label from early 1900's.
This is a typical regional product that can only be brewed in Southern West-Flanders.
VanderGhinste Oud Bruin won a silver medal in the category “Oud Bruin”.
The typical taste is characterized by a balance of fruityness from the high fermentation with the soft tartness of the beer of spontaneous fermentation and has a refreshing and typically taste.
