Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste presenteert op het Brugs Bierfestival (3+4 februari 2018) de Jacobins Aged Red - Single Barrel. Dit is een uniek bier van spontane gisting waarvan slechts 150L gebrouwen werd!

Jacobins Aged Red - Single Barrel is een 100% foederbier van spontane gisting, gerijpt in 1 eikenhouten vat. In het vat werden échte krieken toegevoegd, die gedurende 1 jaar gemacereerd hebben. Dit resulteert in een dieprode lambiek met lichtzoete kriekengeur en de typische zuurheid van lambiek in de smaak. Alcoholvolume: 7,4%.

Jacobins Aged Red - Single Barrel werd rechtstreeks van het vat manueel afgevuld in inox vaten en behoudt op die manier zijn unieke karakteristieken. De naam Jacobins verwijst naar de andere bieren van spontane gisting die Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste brouwt: Cuvée des Jacobins & Kriek des Jacobins.
